TAG Consultancy today announces the appointment of Ivan Perez as a Compliance Director and MLRO.

Ivan will be responsible for all compliance and anti-money laundering (AML) matters and is a key addition to the team. TAG Consultancy continues to strengthen its position and service offering for all clients.

Background

Ivan has over 40 years’ experience in the areas of trust and administration, company management, banking and investment services. He has worked within the financial services industry in Gibraltar since 1980, when he joined Barclays Bank in Gibraltar. In 1995, he joined Abacus Financial Services Limited, which was then and up to July 2012 the fiduciary arm of PwC. He was their Compliance Officer, Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Data Protection Officer. As part of his compliance role, Ivan was a member of their Risk Management Committee and their Money Laundering Reporting Officer. He was responsible for Anti Money Laundering monitoring, as well as monitoring compliance with their policy in relation to Ethical Standards, Client Identification, Data Protection and others.

Between 2009 – 2012, Ivan served as Chairman of the Gibraltar Association of Compliance Officers (GACO). Prior to that he was the Chairman of GACO’s Fiduciary Sub Committee.

In May 2018 he obtained his IBITGQ EU General Data Protection Regulation Practitioner (GDPRP) Certificate.
