TAG Consultancy is pleased to announce that it has today received an audit firm license from the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (GFSC). This license approval is an important milestone for us as the company continues with its expansion. In addition, it provides a clear message to our clients over our commitment to providing high-quality services.

Obtaining an Audit firm licence involves an extensive process to provide evidence on compliance with the GFSC’s requirements. Above all, this is there to ensure that we meet and maintain the highest service standards. This puts us on track with our roadmap and vision; to become a single point of contact for any person wishing to obtain a range of financial services.

Mark Tewkesbury, Director and Co-founder of TAG Consultancy commented: “The idea to start the audit license application process started 5 months ago. We set ourselves a target to obtain the license by the end of the summer, with the idea of marketing our service offering shortly after. I am extremely happy to say that we achieved our target. We are already in the initial communication stages with a number of potential audit clients and will seek to onboard them within the next couple of months.

Being a regulated audit firm adds an additional layer of credibility to our name. TAG Consultancy no longer just provides business-related services; we now also provide Financial Services.

We are looking forward to bringing this service offering to market and to support our clients with their audit needs. Thankful for the assistance of all our team in making this happen.”

Who needs an audit?

  • public limited companies (“PLC’s”);
  • companies licensed by the GFSC or regulated by another local regulatory agency; and
  • companies whose turnover is equal to or above the threshold as defined by the Income Tax Act (£1.25M).
